Two Roads Learning
About Us
Valorie Delp, M. Ed.
Two Roads Learning may be five years old, but its heart is built on three decades of pedagogical expertise. Founded by Valorie Delp, Two Roads is the culmination of a 30-year career that began in the traditional classrooms of New York City and evolved into a mission-driven pursuit of educational equity.
A Unique Perspective: Educator & Practitioner
Valorie’s expertise is uniquely dual-sided. While she has taught a diverse range of students from 5th grade through adulthood, she also homeschooled her own five children from kindergarten through 12th grade and successfully into college. This personal journey informs her deep understanding of the "whole student" and the specific needs of families navigating non-traditional educational paths.
Academic & Professional Excellence
Valorie holds a Master of Education in Learning Design, with a research focus centered on effective methods for teaching neurodivergent students. This academic foundation, combined with her professional membership in the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), allows her to bridge the gap between rigorous high school academics and the complexities of college planning.
The Two Roads Philosophy Is Simple
-
Accessibility: Education should be available and affordable for every family.
-
Critical Thinking: Engagement happens when students think critically and practice skills, not when they do "busy work."
-
Community: Learning is a social act; community drives deep engagement and long-term retention.
From GAT (gifted) to ND learners, Valorie’s approach remains consistent: foster a space that is reasonable yet rigorous, ensuring every student feels seen, challenged, and prepared.

Lizzy Delp, BFA, BA
Lead Theatre Instructor
Lizzy brings a rich, multidisciplinary perspective to the Two Roads performing arts curriculum. With a BFA in Theatre, a BA in English, and a minor in Music, her teaching style is rooted in the intersection of storytelling, vocal performance, and dramatic theory.
Her journey in the arts began as a pre-professional ballerina, a path that led her to study at the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy for a summer. After transitioning her focus to the stage, Lizzy moved to Mississippi for her university studies, where she became a fixture in the regional arts scene.
Her professional credits include work with the Main Stage Theatre in Jackson, various community theatre organizations, and volunteer work with the Mississippi Opera.
At Two Roads, Lizzy is dedicated to the belief that arts education should be accessible to all. She focuses on building confidence and "acting chops" in her students, drawing from her own ongoing experience as a performer in local community productions.
