Our Philosophy of Education

Every good educational experience starts with a core philosophy of education. In a nutshell, here is ours.

We believe...

Every student has the potential to learn and grow.

Therefore, we work to accomodate most learning differences.

Learning should be student-centered.

Therefore, we strive to make classes project-based and focused on the most current learning and teaching theories.

Classes can be rigorous without being overwhelming.

High school classes offer a lot of pathways for additional rigor that students can choose, but the core of class focuses on activities that help students develop critical thinking.

Education is empowering.

Learning helps students grow, and helping students grow empowers them to become life-long learners and bold world-changers.

Critical thinking and problem-solving are key.

21st Century skills are crucial to help prepare students for college and life-long learning.
